The Lindenmere neighborhood of Merrick is located south of Sunrise Highway, just west of Merrick Avenue. With its meandering, tree-lined streets, Lindenmere has a bucolic feel to it, despite being in the center of Nassau County's bustling south shore. Between Sunrise Highway and Merrick Road, residents are in close proximity to some of the best shopping and restaurants in Nassau County. If that isn't enough for you, the entrance to the Meadowbrook Parkway is just a couple of minutes away by car and, depending on traffic, can get you to Roosevelt Field Mall in about ten minutes.
Elementary school aged children living in the Lindenmere area are served by the Merrick Union Free School District. The Norman J. Levy Lakeside School is located just south of Merrick Road in Lindenmere and (as its name suggests) borders the scenic Cammann's Pond.
Middle and high school aged children of Lindenmere are served by the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District. Middle-schoolers go to Merrick Avenue Middle School, while high schoolers attend either to Calhoun or Kennedy High School.
